46th Annual Wonder Walk/Run Fundraiser
Support a Child's Chance for Change
For the 46th year, nearly 1,000 caring community members from Tampa Bay and across the state will unite for Cornerstone Family Ministries’ annual Wonder Walk/Run! This joyful, family‑friendly event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities as we come together in faith and purpose! Your participation helps provide scholarships that open the door to Christ‑centered early childhood education and nutritious meals for economically disadvantaged children ages 0–12 at our Rosa Valdez Early Learning Center & Lab Schools.
Since 1892, Cornerstone has been a source of hope for children and families, faithfully responding to the needs of our community. This year, we invite you to join us—walk with us, pray with us, and stand with us—as we continue this legacy of compassion and impact.

Support a Child’s Chance for Change
This hybrid event is a prayer walk and fundraiser to raise scholarship funds and pray for over 18,000 children (babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children) served by Cornerstone. The scholarships raised at Wonder Walk/Run provide quality early childhood education, after school camp scholarships for school aged students, nutrition education and three nutritious meals each day to the 0-12 year old economically disadvantaged students attending one of the Rosa Valdez Early Learning Centers and Lab Schools located across Tampa Bay.
Cornerstone has been a beacon of hope for children and families in the Tampa Bay region since 1892 making us one of the oldest ministries in our community. We can only continue with the prayers and support of a generous community. It costs an average of $3,000 to provide a gap scholarship for one child and our goal is to raise at least $150,000 so that we can provide over half of the 200 scholarships needed each year. Each scholarship makes it possible for a child to receive a full-time (5 days a week) quality early childhood education or aftercare and 3 nutritious meals a day so that their parents can work and/or go to school to “earn and learn” their way out of the cycle of poverty.
Our Event
The goal of our 46th Annual Wonder Walk Fundraiser is to raise $150,000 in early learning scholarships for the economically disadvantaged 0-5 yr. old students who attend Rosa Valdez Early Learning Centers. Therefore, this event will include several opportunities for you to give!
1. FUN from VIRTUALLY ANYWHERE!
Many of our church, school and family teams have found that picking their own location yields higher participation. So we support and encourage walkers to be creative, pick a location and join us virtually!
2. Virtual Silent Auction
Whether your're at one of our check-in locations or at church, school or home you can still browse and bid in our virtual silent auction. We will have lots of fun experiences, jewelry, sports paraphernalia and more available!
3. Team Awards
By the end of our Wonder Walk season we will recognize the teams that Raise the Most, has the Most Walkers and has the Most Youth
